Abstract By employing N-dimensional multiplexing and modulation, i.e. 5.8-Gaud Nyquist 32-QAM signals over pol-muxed 52 orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes (104 channels in total), we experimentally demonstrate a free-space data link with an aggregate ultra-high spectral efficiency of 435 bit/s/Hz.
