| Abstract | The magnetic anisotropy phase diagrams of R2(Co1-xFex)17, where R is Y, Pr, Sm, Gd, Dy or Er have been determined. Most of the observed behavior can be explained by the single ion crystal field theory. Sm2(Co1-xFex)17 compounds exhibit an unusual behavior which may be due to the contributions arising from the excited multiplets. |
