Abstract Fiber Channel is a high performance, low latency data transfer technology for new applications in avionics environment (AE). This paper describes design and implementation of Fiber Channel hardware-software co-design prototype system. The system is implemented with integrated functions which support FC-AE-ASM and FC-AE-1553 in FPGA. System architecture, interrupt flow for hardware module, software architecture, and software flows for FC-AE-ASM and FC-AE-1553 processing are described in detail. At last, the system is tested and the validity of the system is proved in the experiment.
