Principal Series Representations Induced from Heisenberg Parabolic Subgroups

We study induced representations of real simple Lie groups induced from Heisenberg parabolic subgroups. We find complementary series and some composition series related to minimal representations. For complex Lie groups (as real Lie groups) we find the K-types of the principal series as a generalization of the Cartan-Helgason theorem. This is based on joint work with Jan Frahm, Clemens Weiske and Jun Yu.
