On Singularities and Ramification of Arthur Packets

In this talk I will present joint work with Maxim Gurevich where we explore the micro-local characteristics of Arthur packets for p-adic classical groups. Our investigations reveal an unexpected connection to spherical Hecke algebras at non-hyperspecial maximal compact subgroups and a surprising multiplicity-1 phenomenon arising from a careful analysis of the cohomology of Springer fibres.
